Dear All,
Forwarding you the Automobile Sector Update for April 2011.
In April 2011, auto sales showed the first signs of slowing in the last two years, as automakers reported moderate volume growth. The two-wheeler segment maintained its growth momentum in April, while four-wheeler sales were impacted by the slowdown in demand. Among the majors, Hero Honda (HH) reported strong volumes, whereas Maruti and Tata Motors registered muted growth during the month. Going ahead, rising fuel prices, hike in product prices and increasing cost of financing are expected to emerge as the major headwinds affecting domestic demand.
