How to treat mosquito bites

Bitten by one of those pesky little bloodsuckers? Instead of scratching, try applying hydrocortisone cream (0.5 or 1 percent), calamine lotion or a baking soda paste (3 parts baking soda to 1 part water) to bites several times a day until your symptoms subside. For stronger reactions, try taking an antihistamine such as diphenhydramine (Benadryl). The bump, itching and redness should go away in a few days.
